Project Details

The purpose of the project is to deliver the administrative/financial software together with MIS for the management of Turkey’s tourism assets. Consultancy services are also provided to transform the ministry to become information driven contemporary organization through empowerment of the operational units. The development platform is Sybase, including both the RDBMS and the development environment, Power Designer and Power Builder. Parts of software are open for public use through Internet.  The system is open to be used as an n-tier application, presentation logic being on PCs and thin clients (including mobile phones for WAP and SMS), application logic being on NT (Jaguar) and database logic on UNIX Servers. Overall architecture has also been developed for the extension phase, including mobile access, overseas and local offices, stakeholders like tourism agencies, information kiosks, and finally the Tourism Portal. Project was extended to cover the development of information and application management software for the official web site including online slide sales. Project will be extended to cover 23 overseas offices and mobile applications. Development of infrastructure software (TNS InProc Server, FireBall) for the content management of the official tourism portal of Turkey. FireBall is web content and transaction management developed in C++, allowing for web based software services development.

Type of services provided : Our team provided the ministry with the design of the systems, starting from the functions, not the organizational structure.

We provided overall architecture, design, code, training, acquisition strategies, technical specifications for communications, hardware and software components for extension.
