CobiT Evaluation and Assessment Project - MIS Dept.

Project Details

All the Information Technology Processes performed within the MIS Department of Strategy Development Unit, in the Turkish Ministry of Finance, are assessed and evaluated according to CobiT Methodology. The processes are evaluated with multi-perspective dimensions; according to their Risk Level, Process Performance Level, Process  Internal Control Application Level and Process Maturity Level. After such an assessment, available information to be benchmarked with institutions assessed with similar methodologies has been obtained. A prioritised Recommendations Plan was delivered to mitigate risk, including quick wins and enhance the processes to the desired level for the attention of top management. In return, a roadmap for the next 2-3 years for  further progress was prepared as an expected outcome. In relation with the MIS Management’s Roadmap following this Assessment and Report; a number of formal projects have been planned and are currently under execution as the Strategic Steps for growth.
